Salirann are alien creatures which resemble lions. They have the ability to track the mineral Casadrax. Saliranns are the only creatures known to have this ability.

Lucifer, an alien villain of the Quist race, trained a female Salirann to locate and retrieve Casadrax from the Nameless Dimension.

The Nameless Dimension is the realm to which Lucifer was banished by his commander, the Quist supreme ruler (known as "the Supreme One").

With the chunk of Casadrax retrieved by his trained Salirann, Lucifer was able to supply limitless power to his Dimensional Transmitter. He used the device to return to Earth.
