J.B. Winthrop was a very wealthy man. He owned a Lincoln Continental car, which he asked Carl Barker to customize as a present for his teenage child.

An alien known only as the "Stranger" was stranded on Earth. The Stranger was working for Carl Barker, masquerading as a regular Earth human. The alien helped customize the car, but when Barker tried to cheat him out of his pay, the alien stole the souped-up vehicle and flew it back to his home planet.
