The Brood are old-school henchmen who wear colorful matching costumes that complement the colorful "super-villain" costume of their boss, Gamecock. The Brood and Gamecock battle Nomad (Steve Rogers) in the opening 3 pages of Captain America (vol. 1) #183.

Morgan specifically refers to Gamecock's gang as his "Brood" in panel 4 on page 9 in issue #183. Nomad, confronting Boss Morgan (who hired Gamecock to kill the Falcon) asks Morgan: "...I repeat: Where's the Falcon?"

Morgan answers: "If I knew that, Nomad, I wouldn't have sent Gamecock and his Brood over to kill him!"
