General Heshin's name intentionally sounds like "Hessian," a term for the German mercenary troops who were loyal to British loyalist colonists during the Revolutionary War. General Heshin answers to William Taurey, whose last name sounds like "Tory," the term for such colonists.

William Taurey's stated goal was to overthrow the current United States government and return rule of the country to British-based aristocracy the way it was before the American Revolution.

General Heshin, like the Germany mercenaries he is named for, may be more of a mercenary himself, rather than somebody who sincerely buys into Taurey's rationale and worldview.
