Mac was a police officer working in Manhattan.
In Daredevil (vol. 1) #18, Karen Page asked police officers Chuck and Mac for help. Mac brought Karen to the office of Matt Murdock. He also used his police radio to contact another officer, requesting assistance for his partner, Chuck, who was at the scene of a battle between the Gladiator and Foggy Nelson (who was dressed as Daredevil).
In Tales to Astonish #84, Mac was one of the police officers asked to help clear commuters out a subway station when the Hulk was seen in the area.
