Project: Reptile was a Defense Department-funded research project which had as its purpose the creation of superior soldiers. The project was intended to create new "super soldiers," such as Captain America.

This project's means for developing superior soldiers was unlocking the primitive "reptilian" part of the human brain. The researchers in this project did this with Agent Crock and Agent Haazard, but these were not entirely successfully experiments. The resulting soldiers ended up insane and uncontrollable.
