At one point, Lt. Lou Hackett was given a werewolf ring. The man who gave him the ring was attorney Geraldo Kabal, the executor of the estate of Joshua Kane, who had long possessed the rings (along with other magical items). Hackett used the ring to become an intelligent werewolf.
