In London, Ilsa Koenig went on a date with Sgt. Nick Fury. They went to a local pub. The Howling Commandos, the soldiers under Fury's command, went too.

Nick Fury left the pub briefly to find one of his men who was missing (Pinky PInkerton). While he was away, Butch Barker tried to pick up Ilsa. Although his advances were unwelcome, she tolerated him for a while. But then he tried to kiss her, so she slapped him.

Butch attempted to strike Ilsa, but Dino Manelli (one of the Howling Commandos) came to her rescue and defended her from the brutish Butch Barker. (His heroic defense of Ilsa won him a kiss from her.)
