In 1795, Lydia was a werewolf. She was kept as a prisoner by the vampire lord himself: Dracula.

It was Lydia who turned Grigori Russoff into a werewolf. (Russoff is the great-great grandfather of Jack Russell, the starring character of Werewolf By Night comic book series, and perhaps the best known werewolf in the contemporary Marvel Universe.)

Although we have seen Lydia Varadi identified as "Lydia Russoff," we believe this is a mistake, conflating Lydia's name with the name of Grigori Russoff's wife Louisa.
