The Five Who Were All was a mysterious composite being, apparently some sort of cosmic entity, but ultimately a being whose purpose was unclear. It may have been extradimensional in nature.

What is known is at some point two of the five beings who comprised the Five split. The two who split off from the Five were Fire-Eyes and the being who would become known as Dr. Glitternight. This left the beeing as the Three Who Were All, consisting of The Hooded One, Burning Snake, and Goat Child.
