Although there were previous glimpses of the space craft carrying the "Partyers from Mars," the crew member known as "Engineer" was first identified specifically on page 8 in Megaton Man #3 (Apr. 1985). At this point he is not yet seen. The Partyers' space craft is seen here on a splash page, along with dialogue:
"Engineer! What's going on here?!!!"
"I never seen a-nuthin' like it, Cap'n, sir! She just won't stay on the bloody course! It's like she's got a mind of her own!!!"
"Science officer! Explanation!"
"Captain, a Klingon Party store has us in some sort of tractor beam!!! Resistance is futile!"
