Sweetwater Chemical Company was owned by Herbert Gutman. Gutman's company was trying to develop a slime which could dispose of oil by feeding on it. In the process, the company accidentally created a slime which can feed on anything and can be controlled by electricity. Gutman tried to sell the slime to terorists as a weapon. To that end, he demonstrated the slime on a nearby town.

The heroic "Marauder" (a gestault of Team America) turned to slime onto the Sweetwater Chemical Company's main building. Gutman tried to flee, but fell into the slime.

R.U. Reddy of Team America set the slime on fire, and the Sweetwater building burned down.
