Note: Jackal's intended creation using Kaine's DNA

The Jackal obtained a DNA sample from Kaine (a clone of Peter Parker who by then had adopted the super-heroic identity "Scarlet Spider"). The Jackal's intention was to use this DNA sample to create "Spidercide 2.0," a sort of "new version" or follow-up on the original Spidercide, which was a clone the Jackal created based on DNA from the original Peter Parker.

The Jackal's intention to use DNA from Kaine to create Spidercide 2.0 contradicted the Jackal's own previously stated advise to never clone a clone.
