Dr. Ferid Ekmecic created weaponized Vibranium bullets. The specific type of Vibanium that Dr. Ekmecic weaponized is known as Antarctic Vibranium.
Dr. Ekmecic worked on behalf of the new Crime-Master (secretly Bennett Brant) in order to develop Antarctic Vibranium into a weapon. Dr. Ekmecic then supplied these bullets to militants in his own country so they could prepare for war. Dr. Ekmecic also sold these dangerous bullets to terrorists, dictators and costumed villains.
Jack O'Lantern tested these bullets by killing a group of Elite U.N. Peacekeepers wearing Stark armor. Jack O'Lantern was working on behalf of a mysterious boss, the new Crime-Master. The Crime-Master wanted Jack O'Lantern to retrieve Dr. Ekmecic. But the U.S. military also wanted to retrieve Dr. Ferid Ekmecic. The U.S. government wanted to apprehend Dr. Ekmecic for providing this dangerous technology to criminals and terrorists and enemies of the United States. The U.S. government wanted to keep the scientist from being in enemy hands any more. The military sent their latest operative - Corporal Flash Thompson with the Venom symbiote - to apprehend the scientist and bring him back alive.
Unfortunately, the new Jack O'Lantern, who was sent by Crime-Master to retrieve Dr. Ekmecic, proved to be a dangeous foe. Flash Thompson found Dr. Ekmecic, but Jack O'Lantern fought off Flash/Venom and began flying away, escaping with Dr. Ferid Ekmecic. Flash refused to let Jack O'Lantern escape with the scientist. Flash shot a web at Ekmecic and killed him by pulling on his head and snapping his neck while he was riding on Jack O'Lantern's flying broomstick.
