The Savage Six was a group of villains organized by Crime-Master (Bennett Brant) so that they could mutually protect themselves from the authorities and also the Kingpin, who wanted some of them dead.
The Savage Six has been described as a "darker version of the Sinister Six."
This Savage Six should not be confused with the identically-named but completely unrelated "Savage Six" who were enemies of Spider-Girl (May Parker) in the near future "MC2" timeline.
