Sara was desperately searching for her father in Alphabet City, a slum in New York City. A crack dealer named "Chain" pretended to be concerned about her. Chain took Sara back to his apartment and fed her a sandwich was was laced with drugs.
Chain and his cohorts, wanted to hold the girl ransom. The hero Justice (Tensen) rescued her, but Chain later saw her and abducted her again. When numerous gang members allied with Chain attacked Justice, Chain stabbed Sara, mortally wounding her. Justice killed all of the drug dealers and gang members present except one, who he kept alive as an informant.
