"Wing" Walker was a legitimate pilot who was disgraced through the machinations of a villainous group known as the Sons of the Red Cormorant. The Sons then forced him, at gunpoint to fly a mission for them. In order to escape, Wing faked a crash landing and, in doing so, scattered a tribe of Indians. He then met and assisted a woman who had been held captive by the Indians.
