A nurse whose name was never revealed worked in a hospital in the Washington, D.C. area. This was the hospital that Keith Remsen ("Nightmask") and his sister Teddy Remsen were taken to after they were injured by a bomb blast at Dulles International Airport.

Keith, having recently awaken from a coma, and Teddy were conversing when the nurse brought them their medication for the day. The medication included a sedative, which Teddy knew would dull her senses. She started to refuse to take the medication, but Keith interjected and said they would take the medicine.

After the nurse left, Keith secretly disposed of his medicine instead of taking it. He knew that whatever happened to him, it would not happen to his sister, Teddy, also.
