Macrolatts were a cruel alien race which exploits the Zarolatts, an alien race whose members are comprised of pure energy. The Macrolatts literally feed upon the Zarolatts parasitically.
Macrolatts are able to inhabit the bodies of others. A Macrolatt inhabited the body of Earth human Jason Morgan and in that guise attempted to find a way to bridge the dimensional barrier between Earth and the Macrolatts' realm, so that its race could instigate a full-fledged invasion. Other Macrolatts inhabited the bodies of various Earth super-heroes.
The Macrolatts' attempt to invade Earth was thwarted by the Zarolatt known as "The Weird."
