Dr. Eastman was the administrator of a hospital somewhere in Wisconsin. The newly-transformed paranormal Dave Landers was a patient in his hospital. Dr. Randy O'Brien worked in the hospital. Dr. Randy O'Brien argued with Dr. Eastman about Dave Landers' treatment. Dr. O'Brien thought that Eastman was being very unreasonable, and he momentarily fantasized about strangling Eastman. This triggered Dr. O'Brien's own paranormal power, causing a shadow copy of himself to emerge from his body and attempt to strange Dr. Eastman. Dr. O'Brien is able to stop the wraith from doing any serious harm to Dr. Eastman. Through this event, Dr. O'Brien realizes that he, too, is a paranormal.
