When Sean Cassidy, the mutant known as Banshee, first appeared, he appeared to be a villain. He used his powers to break into an expensive art gallery owned by Mr. Jones. Banshee then stole an expensive painting (titled "Gaelic Landscape") and flew away.

Later (at the end of the issue) it is revealed that Banshee is not really a villain or a thief. He was being blackmailed by Factor Three (with an explosive headband) and forced to work for them.

Banshee would later go on to become a heroic member of the X-Men.
