Patrolman Patrick Smith was a fairly average police officer, except for one thing. He was particularly interested in ridding his community of the problem of illegal peddlers. He went to considerable effort to dissuade the peddlers who were selling a particular type of doll. In doing this, Patrolman Smith unwittingly foiled a plot by an alien race!

Unbeknownst to Patrolman Smith, a group of aliens had been working on infiltrating Earth using devices which looked like harmless, adorable dolls. But really, the dolls were mechanical men which would do the bidding of the aliens!

Without even really understanding what was going on, Patrolman Smith's anti-peddler efforts put a stop to this particular alien infiltration plan.
