Using a mystic ring, humans were able to switch minds with the gorilla named Congorilla.

Congorilla himself, however, apparently had a regular gorilla consciousness. So despite his peculiar mystical nature and despite his status as sacred beast, perhaps even a being of worship, he is not classified as an "uplifted animal." To be classified as an "uplifted animal," he would have to exhibit true sentience or human-level intelligence.
