Lightning Bug was a very obscure member of the group of underground-dwelling mutant outcasts known as the Morlocks.
Lightning Bug was only seen in a single story, published in Marvel Comics Presents #15. Lightning Bug was glimpsed mainly in an astral form. The story next explicitly states whether Lightning Bug was a male or female, but when the character's skeleton was shown, it was wearing a gold beat necklace that made it clear the artist considered the character female.
