Thule led a neo-Nazi cult. This was an overtly religious Nazi group which professed Nazism and heavily used occult elements. Thule was unaware that his passionate Nazism and dabbling in occult forces was being used by the devil Mephisto. Spider-Man and the heroic duo Cloak and Dagger fought against Thule's plans and Thule was ultimately consumed and destroyed by Mephisto's evil power.
