Zachary Zziiz was slated for execution as part of mad Chief Judge Cal's plan to execute every last citizen in order to preserve Mega City One in a state of perfection. The plan was to start with Aaron A. Aaardvark, who unfortunately chose to change his name to be the first one in the phone book. The executions were to proceed in alphabetical order, concluding with Mr. Zziiz.
Judge Dredd defeated Chief Judge Cal before many of Cal's announced executions took place. Mr. Aardvark was unfortunately killed, but Zziiz and most of the other citizens of Mega-City One were spared.
