Arani Desai

Arani's father was known as "Kalki." He believed himself to be the final incarnation of Vishnu. Arani herself was raised partially in a monastery. As an adult super-heroine, she manifest her learning from her upbringing both as belief and in mild mystic power.

Although Arani's religious beliefs and backgrounds are a significant aspect of her character, she was never as overtly Hindu as her father.
