The "Plutonium" who first appeared in Avengers Collector's Edition #1 (1993) was a mutated human. The Elements of Doom who appeared in Thunderbolts #s 6, 7 and 8 were new creations, created out of pure elements. Thus, it is quite possible that the "Plutonium" who appeared in Thunderbolts #8 (Nov. 1997) was actually a different character than the mutated human Plutonium from Avengers Collector's Edition #1. This should be investigated further.
