Note: framed Shade the Changing Man for treason

Captain Majan was a pivotal character in the original Shade, the Changing Man comic book series. This officer framed Shade for treason. When Majan was murdered, people suspected Shade of the crime. (He was innocent. The Cloak had killed Majan.)

In addition to Captain Majan's name, we have seen some references to a "Captain Mahan" in these same stories. We believe this is simply a transcription error on the part of indexers, and that there is not actually any distinct character named "Captain Mahan" in these stories. These are simply references to Capt. Majan.
