The man who was giving the sales pitch--Doctor Omar Vass--was a scientist who vaguely reminded Reed of Bill Murray's character in Ghostbusters. He had that same slightly unctuous air about him, as if he saw science not as a means of exploration but rather of turning a quick buck.
