This non-fiction book is also known as: Journal and Remarks, 1832-1835.

The Voyage of the Beagle is the title commonly given to the Darwin's memoirs of his voyage aboard the HMS Beagle. The book was actually first published in May 1838 as Journal and Remarks. It has also been published under the title Journal of Researches.

Darwin's volume was first published as the third volume in a four-volume collection known as Narrative of the Surveying Voyages of His Majesty's Ships Adventure and Beagle. The other three volumes were written by other members of the expedition.

The volume featuring Darwin's writing ended up so popular that the publisher re-issued it alone, with a new title page, in August, giving it the complete title: Journal of Researches into the Geology and Natural History of the various countries visited by H.M.S. Beagle.
