X-Men Marvel 59

This is the first issue of Marvel's second "X-Men: Legacy" series.

The first series ran from issue #208 to #275, continuing the numbering from the second X-Men series (i.e., X-Men volume 2).

The series was re-launched in late 2012 as part of the "Marvel: NOW" initiative which re-launched most Marvel series, beginning with new creative teams, restarting most series with a new issue #1.

In a practical sense, this issue can be thought of as "Legion #1." Although it bears the title X-Men: Legacy, the focus is squarely on David Haller, the son of Charles Xavier, the "omega-level" mutant better known as "Legion."
