Captain Commission was (or possibly still is) an actual live actor in a super-hero costume who appeared originally in live missions programs in Northern California and Nevada region as part of events organized by the Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade (BGMC), a missionary branch of Assemblies of God. Illustrations of the character also appeared in printed materials and flyers associated with BGMC events.
Captain Commission was part of the Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade (BGMC) at least as early as 2007, but was possibly introduced even earlier.
