This comic features a 17-page framing story titled "Generations," written by Mark Waid, penciled by Mike Parobeck, and inked by Jose Marzan Jr. The first two pages of "Generations" appear at the beginning of the comic, followed by three distinct stories, one each featuring different heroes known as the Flash: Jay Garrick, Barry Allen and Wally West. Then the final 15 pages of "Generations" appears. The story "Generations" features "John Fox," the "Flash" of the 27th Century.
