This one-page comic story features a young Burmese woman named Lin Tan. She goes to a World Health Organization nursing school in Rangoon. Afterward, she discovers bubonic plague in her home village. This was published as a public service in cooperation with the National Social Welfare Assembly, which was the coordinating organization for national health, welfare and recreation agencies in the United States.
