Thunderbunny first appeared in a text story written by Martin L. Greim. The story appeared in a fanzine called "Mass Fan Newsletter." Later, in 1977, Thunderbunny appeared for the first time in a comic book story (published in Comic Crusader Storybook). This was the first time the character was visually depicted. At this time we do not know the actual publication date of the Mass Fan Newsletter in which Thunderbunny first appeared, except that this appearance predates the character's comic book debut in Comic Crusader Storybook.
