DC's second comic book series that starred Supergirl as the title character began with a cover date of November 1982. The series was titled The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl, although it is often referred to simply as Supergirl volume 2. After twelve issues, the smaller sized supertitle "The Daring New Adventures of" was dropped from the cover and the title of the series was shortened simply to Supergirl.

Some sources refer to the entire 23-issue run of this series simply as Supergirl volume 2. Some sources refer to all 23 issues by the original title, The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl. We are identifying each issue by the title that actually appeared on the cover, reflecting the title change that occurred beginning with issue #13.
