Note that all of the numerous super-heroes seen in this issue (except for Martian Manhunter) are mental constructs seen only within Catwoman's mind. An alien device causes her to have a vivid sort of dream in which she creates her own version of Gotham. In the mental landscape thus created, Catwoman manages to defeat the combined might of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and the Flash (Wally West) in battle. Later, dozens of super-heroes confront her, but they are only seen in one or two panels, as she finally figures out that this is all just an illusion or dream.

Even Martian Manhunter's prominent appearance in this issue takes place within Catwoman's mind, but he is not a mental construct created by her mind in tandem with the machine. The actual Martian Manhunter used his telepathic abilities to project his consciousness into Catwoman's dreamscape and communicate with her.
