Note that much of this issue consists of flashbacks, as a small group of Avengers gather in the ruins of the Avenger Mansion and recall some of their most memorable, favorite, and proudest moments from Avengers history. Character listings above do not denote whether or not character appearances are flashbacks, but most are. The characters who gather in the present are: Hank Pym, Wasp, Captain America, Jarvis, Falcon, Wonder Man, Beast, Iron Man, Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk), Warbird (Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel), Captain Britain (Kelsey Leigh), and (briefly) Quicksilver.

This is the epilogue to the historic "Avengers Dissembled" storyline that brought the long-running Avengers series to an end. (The Avengers franchise would continue soon thereafter in the a new series titled: New Avengers).

There is no issue number on the cover of this publication. This might be considered Avengers Finale (a one-shot publication), or Avengers Finale #1.
