Starr was the King of Zardath. He broke the Fourth Wall and killed writer Len Carson to prevent the writer from killing him in his stories.
Many years after his introduction, Starr (or an alternative version of Starr) was featured in newuniversal: Conqeror #1 (a one-shot publication). In this story, Starr was imbued with the power of the Star Brand during a White Event in the year 2689 B.C.
