Summary
A new generation of mutant students - heretofore known as "the New Mutants" - is gathered from around the world by Professor Charles Xavier, for the purpose of training them in the use of their powers. Meanwhile, the mutant-hating cyborg Donald Pierce plots to kill a number of the same mutants. The young mutants help Professor Xavier prevent Pierce's planned assassinations and apprehend him. They join together as Professor Xavier's new class: Xi'an Coy Manh, Rahne Sinclair, Danielle Moonstar, Roberto da Costa and Sam Guthrie.
