Bandrhude was the result of Deviant genetic engineering, designed to be used as a weapon against the Eternals. Bandrhude had the ability to overwhelm opponents with painful memories torn from their pasts. After the character's initial introduction, Bandrhude was later seen as a member of Ghaur's Fifth Host.
There were apparently multiple Bandrhudes (or Mind-Sirens). More than one of these genetically-engineered living weapons were used in different stories.
