"Hidden race religions" are practiced by members of alternative - and typically hidden - races of people. These are races that live on Earth or are native to Earth, although they usually live in places that entail little exposure to mainstream Earth culture, such as underground, under the sea, or deep in the jungle. The degree to which hidden races differ from mainstream humans varies widely. They may seem extremely different from humans, such as the monstrous Deviants, or appear entirely human, such as the long-lived Eternals (among whom is the Avenger Sersi) or the scarcely-divergent Abyssians (among whom is the DC superheroine Looker, one of Batman's Outsiders). Hidden races typically have their own highly distinctive religions which are not directly connected to extant Earth religions. Ordained clergy from hidden race religions include the superhero Northwind (Infinity Inc.), Karnak (of the Inhumans) and the Deviant villain Ghaur. Members of hidden races who worship in mainstream human religions, such as Atlantean Greco-Roman religionists, are not listed here.
