Ravenous was the leader of the Seekers, aliens who were native to the Negative Zone who acted as agents of the villain Annihilus. The Seekers hunted individuals who possessed the Power Cosmic. To this end, the Seekers used the "Currs."
Currs are dog-like servants of the Seekers which can track possessors of the Power Cosmic (such as the Silver Surfer). The Seekers are agents of the galactic villain Annihilus. Using the Currs, the Seekers tracked down and captured a number of individuals possessing the Power Cosmic, including Air-Walker, Morg and Terrax.
Ravenous, like all of the Seekers, possessed the "Opposing Force," which is the Negative Zone counterpart of the Power Cosmic.
