Goroth is a mutant Skrull who had stretching abilities (which apparently went beyond the standard Skrull ability to stretch by virtue of their metamorphic powers).

Goroth joined Cadre K, a group of Skrull mutants who fought for the rights of Skrull mutants everywhere during a time when mutant Skrulls were severely persecuted by mainstream Skrulls. Cadre K was organized and led by Professor Charles Xavier, the famed mutant rights activist from Earth.

Goroth is peculiar relative to the other members of Cadre K because he is rather obscure. He apparently appeared in Uncanny X-Men #387 and X-Men (vol. 2) #97, but was not seen after that except in a the reference work Skrulls! (2008).

Because Goroth's mutant ability is similar to that of Cadre K member Nuro's power, one might speculate that "Goroth" was intended to be the same character.

Goroth is cited by at least one source as having appeared in the "Maximum Security" event, specifically in the Maximum Security: Dangerous Planet one-shot and the 3-issue Maximum Security limited series. But Goroth did not appear in this stories. Cadre K appeared prominently, but only the 5 core members of Cadre K appear, led by Charles Xavier. The stretching Skrull who belongs to Cadre K in these stories is very clearly identified as Nuro and there are very clearly only 5 Skrull members of this team depicted.

This character is in the following 2 stories which have been indexed by this website:
The Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #387 (Dec. 2000): "Cry Justice, Cry Vengeance!" (cameo)
X-Men (vol. 2) #97 (Feb. 2000): "The End of the World as We Know It: Part 2"
