After X-Man (Nate Grey) freed the mutant Kiza, she turned heself into gold statue. Two Shinto monks approached. X-Man entrusted the Kiza statue to the monks, to keep at their temple.
The island this story takes place on has long been a sanctuary for Shinto monks. Apparently there are still Shinto monks there, even though financier Lord Yaru now resides there as well.
