The "Zombie Master" (whose actual name was never revealed) was a giant of unknown origin. He was twice the size of normal humans. The "Zombie Master" was a mad scientist who used a machine to transform other people into a zombie-like state. This was a technological process apparently unrelated to traditional zombie-producing techniques associated with voodoo (Vodoun). The "Zombie Master" tried using his machine on Dr. Jack Castle, but instead of transforming Castle into a zombie it empowered him. As the new hero "Fiery Mask," Castle defeated the "Zombie Master."
