In panel 3 on page 4 in Captain America (vol. 1) #184, Captain America emerged from a warehouse he had been lured to by the Red Skull. Cap sees (in his words): "A television news crew! Two-- three television news crews!"
Sam Reuther approached Captain America, microphone in hand. Sam said to Cap: "We received a tip, Cap-- if that's who you really are-- --because if you are, your being back in uniform is the first big story of the year! So, what about a statement?"
Captain America replied: "I am Captain America, Mr. Reuther. I have come back. But I'm not interested in a lot of publicity."
Sam Reuther said: "Neither am I-- but news is something I favor giving the public plenty of-- --and there's no getting around the fact that you're news! Come on, Cap-- there are too many people hiding behind 'no comment' today!"
Captain America gave in, saying: "Yeah, you're right. Okay... but let's make it fast. I have places to go, and promises to keep."
