Captain America (vol. 1) #184 (Apr. 1975): "Cap's Back!", pages 3, 5, 12-13:
(pg. 3) Red Skull (to Captain America): "I knew you would come here, American swine! For that reason alone did I allow your Negro friend to live, when my master plan demanded the death of that foolish child pretending to be you!"
Note: Other references. Captain America's rage at the Red Skull for killing Roscoe is a major cause of Cap's attitude this issue.
Captain America (vol. 1) #185 (May 1975): "Scream the Scarlet Skull!", pages 7, 17:
(pg. 17) Captain America (to Red Skull): "I made a vow, Nazi-- an oath that you'd pay for Roscoe-- and Glass and Sargent and Brenner-- and whatever else is up your sleeve!" [other references]
Note: Captain America comes off rather strong when warning the Red Skull's next announced victim. His friends attribute this uncharacteristic attitude to Cap's bitterness about Roscoe's murder by the Skull.
