This publication is also known as: Thunderbolts: Distant Rumblings. This issue really does feature the issue number "minus 1" (i.e., "-1" or "negative one") on the cover. This was published as part of a special "Flashback" month at Marvel wherein all regularly-published series featured a "-1" issue which depicted events before the series began. Alternatively, we have seen this issue indexed as a special Thunderbolts: Distant Rumblings "one-shot," outside of regular Thunderbolts volume one publishing. But listing this issue that way does not best reflect what actually happened. Thunderbolts #-1 fits solidly within the collection of comics published as part of the first (and, at that time, the only) volume of the Thunderbolts comic book series.
